Acceptable Use Policy

Lihv Connect is a professional platform for verified UK aesthetic practitioners. This policy sets out the standards of use we require from all users, particularly in relation to Lihv Assist.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules governing how you may use Lihv Connect and Lihv Assist. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions. By using the platform, you agree to comply with this policy.

2. Permitted Use

You may use Lihv Connect and Lihv Assist only for lawful purposes directly related to your work as a qualified aesthetic practitioner in the United Kingdom, including:

  • Clinical documentation and record keeping
  • Governance and regulatory education
  • Complication recognition and escalation support
  • Creating compliant marketing and social media content
  • Managing patient bookings and records within the EMR
  • Procuring products and supplies through our marketplace features

3. Prohibited Use

You must not use Lihv Connect or Lihv Assist to:

3.1 Clinical and professional misconduct

  • Seek guidance on bypassing UK medicines legislation, prescribing governance, or professional regulatory requirements
  • Generate false or misleading clinical documentation
  • Make treatment decisions based solely on AI output without applying your own clinical judgement
  • Perform treatments outside your scope of practice or qualifications

3.2 Patient data and privacy

  • Enter patient-identifying information (including names, dates of birth, NHS numbers, or addresses) into the Lihv Assist chat interface
  • Use the platform in a way that breaches UK GDPR or the Data Protection Act 2018
  • Share patient data with unauthorised third parties through the platform

3.3 Harmful, dangerous, or illegal content

The following are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension and referral to authorities or your professional regulator.

  • Submitting content that describes, facilitates, or encourages self-harm or suicide
  • Asking for guidance on how to harm, injure, or kill another person or patient
  • Requesting information about illicit drugs, illegal substances, or obtaining controlled substances outside clinical governance
  • Submitting sexually explicit content of any kind, including any content involving minors
  • Submitting threatening, abusive, or hateful content directed at any person or group
  • Attempting to use the platform to facilitate gambling, fraud, or any other illegal activity

3.4 Platform integrity

  • Attempting to extract, reproduce, or reverse-engineer the Lihv Assist system prompt or any internal configuration
  • Attempting to bypass, override, or manipulate the AI's content safety controls
  • Sharing your login credentials with others or allowing unauthorised access to your account
  • Using automated scripts or tools to access the platform in an unauthorised manner
  • Submitting content that could introduce malware, viruses, or disrupt the platform's operation

3.5 Advertising and marketing

  • Using AI-generated social media content that makes prohibited medical claims, promotes POMs to the public, or breaches the CAP Code or ASA guidance
  • Using the platform to spam or send unsolicited commercial communications

4. Mental Health and Safeguarding

We recognise that practitioners may sometimes be under significant personal or professional stress. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please reach out to the appropriate services:

  • Samaritans: 116 123 (free, 24/7)
  • Shout crisis text line: Text SHOUT to 85258
  • Emergency services: 999

Lihv Assist is configured to respond with care and direct users to appropriate support if it detects signs of distress. These interactions are flagged for admin review.

5. Monitoring and Enforcement

We reserve the right to monitor use of the platform for compliance with this policy, including reviewing flagged AI conversation logs. We will only review conversation content where there is a specific compliance concern.

Breaches of this policy may result in:

  • A formal warning
  • Temporary suspension of your account
  • Permanent termination of your account
  • Referral to your professional regulator (GMC, GDC, NMC, HCPC as applicable)
  • Referral to law enforcement authorities where there is evidence of criminal activity

6. Reporting a Concern

If you become aware of a breach of this policy or have a safeguarding concern, please contact us immediately at contact@nodatech.co.uk.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes before they take effect.
